Westworld Style Behavior Pad Interface Development

01:38
Developing the Host Behavior Pad Interface used in Westworld. HTML5 using Canvas, JavaScript, CSS. Fully customizable for size, number of steps, number of attributes, etc. Stores all settings and built specifically to reside on the servers in the Raspberry Pies that serve as the brains of my robotic host builds. Much more to come, this is the hardest part, the rest is mostly displaying ancillary data and some of the simple 0/1 type control selectors. Further coding fun to be had in writing the Python and shell scripts that reside in the R Pi's memory, that serve as data transfer and translation.

Westworld Style Behavior Pad Interface in HTML5, PHP

02:49
Demonstrating the Westworld Style Behavior Pad Interface with my new screen recording software from Bandicam. Video shows host selection, adjusting the attributes and saving changes to disk. The saved settings are read by the host core code on reboot. While these settings are for demo purposes and utilize the Westworld attribute matrix, the actual robots I use these on have much more utilitarian parameters. The interface is written in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS, employing Canvas. My robotic core code is mostly all in Python with some C++, and all of this runs currently on Raspberry Pi 3B+, until I can afford the upgrade to Jetson TX2 modules which allow for real-time voice to text processing. Watch for more videos showing the very robust language processing functions and conversational responses the robot generates. I have other videos depicting the development of the eyes with cameras that run through OpenCV and recognize and track faces, and development of the head/neck movement, etc. Please subscribe to be kept up to date on my progress. I am limited in time because I work nearly constantly, so these videos are sporadic, but there are some truly unique and breakthrough functions happening in here, especially in the area of the language processing I have developed. This code is available on GitHub and is free for non-commercial use: https://github.com/DaveXanatos/Westworld-Style-Behavior-Pad-Interface Always accepting donations of Jetson TX2 units... :)

The Attachment Theory- How Your Childhood Affects Your Relationships.

07:36
The attachment theory argues that a strong emotional and physical bond to one primary caregiver in our first years of life, is critical to our development. If our bonding is strong and we are securely attached, then we feel safe to explore the world. If our bond is weak, we feel insecurely attached. We are afraid to leave or explore a rather scary-looking world. Because we are not sure if we can return. Often we then don't understand our own feelings. Special thanks for our patroeon supporters: Ville Medeiros, Chutimon Nuangnit, Cedric Wang, Mike, Eva Marie Koblin, Julien Dumesnil, Mathis and the others. You are wonderful !!! Full Script: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v82PcEvf_G2iolc5ejPY5dQ2RtqU1Vj9V5L_iIKWUhk/edit?usp=sharing Dealing with Attachment Issues: Dealing with Attachment Issues is no easy task. For those who feel like they can’t help themselves, or can’t find trust through their partners of family, we recommend looking for professional support through a therapy. If you are able to form a secure attachment to a therapist, he can become the one who provides you with that secure base. Here three of possible therapies: 1. Psychoanalysis. The aim of psychoanalysis therapy is to release repressed emotions and experiences, i.e., make the unconscious conscious. In order to do that they therapist might try to bring back some childhood memories, to work at the root cause of the problem. 2. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). CBT is a psycho-social intervention that is widely used for improving mental health. Instead of trying to bring you back in time, it aims to explain you whats going on inside your brain and how to cope with irrational feelings or fears. 3. The Hoffmann Process. This 7-8 days guided process, designed by the American psychologist Hoffmann, brings participants back into their childhood to reconnect with their parents at the time when attachment is formed. Its very intensive. Test Driven Development vs Behaviour Driven Development + FREE CHEAT SHEET

05:25
Can the principles of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) be applied to a simple DIY challenge? Grab your free TDD vs. BDD Cheatsheet: http://bit.ly/tdd-vs-bdd-cheatsheet Can the principles of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) be applied to a simple DIY challenge? In a previous episode, I employed a Waterfall approach to hang a shelf - and I made a right mess of it. In this episode, I repeat the process, this time adopting a "test first" approach. - 0:44 - Test Driven Development (TDD) - 2:55 - Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) → SUBSCRIBE for a NEW EPISODE every WEDNESDAY: http://www.DevelopmentThatPays.com/-/subscribe Music: 260809 Funky Nurykabe: ccmixter.org/files/jlbrock44/29186 ------------------- 41. Test Driven Development vs Behaviour Driven Development + FREE CHEAT SHEET I tried to hang this shelf on this wall. I made a mess of it. The shelf was wonky. Could Test Driven Development - or even Behaviour Driven Development - have saved the day Shelving ----- A couple of episodes ago, I went through the process of hanging a shelf in what looked suspiciously like a Waterfall process: I did all of the measuring all of the transferring all of the drilling popped in all of the wall plugs and brute-forced the screws in. Alas, the end result was not good: the shelf was not level. But it got me thinking. Could tests have saved the day Is it possible to hang a shelf in a test-driven way Is it possible to hang a shelf in a behaviour-driven way I think we should find out. Test Driven Development (TDD) ---- Here's me hanging a shelf in my waterfall-like style. Let's stop it... there. Here's an opportunity for a test: I could come back at any time and check that the line really is level. That could be the first unit test. More marking and measuring. Stop there. Lots of opportunities for unit tests here: one for each of these measurements. What happened next Oh yes... I drilled all the holes. I popped in all the wall plugs. Stop. This is certainly a point where the unit tests could - and should - be performed. But it's actually a few steps too late. I've done far too much work between tests. Lets rewind a bit. Drill one hole (only). And perform the "unit tests" to ensure the hole went in in the right place. If the test fails - if the hole has gone in the wrong place - now's the time to fix it: there's no point in continuing until all the tests pass. Once the tests are passing, we can move on. Drill another hole. Run the tests. Correct as necessary. And so on until we have all four holes drilled - and tested. In with the four plugs. No harm in repeating the "unit tests"... but it's most likely that all would pass. And we're now in a position to finish the job. In go the screws. Unfortunately, it's no longer trivial to run our unit tests. But there is another test we can run: we can check for level. And given that we've had "green lights" up to this point, the chances are that this test will pass too. And it does. The shelf is perfectly flat. Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) --- So much for Test Driven Development; what about Behaviour Driven Development A shelf is a bit passive. It doesn't have have much in the way of behaviours. But if we are generous with our definitions, we could say that a desirable behaviour is that anything that are put on it should not slide off. Or put it another way, the shelf should be level. It can be argued, then, that testing the shelf for level is not only a unit test; it's also a behavioural test. In the sequence we've been through, this "behavioural test" was the last thing that we did. AFTER all the work had been done. The very opposite of "behaviour driven". Is behaviour driven development even possible in this case Turns out that the method my dad used to hang a shelf looks a lot like a behaviour-driven process: First step is marking the centre of the shelf. We could have a test for that - to verify that the mark really is in the centre of the shelf. That would be a unit test. (It's the first and last time we'll come across a unit test in the sequence.) Moving on... Check for level. That's the behavioural test. There it is again. This time it fails. Again, no point in continuing until "all the tests are passing". A quick tap with a mallet. Run the tests again - this time passing. Which means we can move on. There's the behavioural test again. And again one final time. Success! --- Would you believe it: It is possible to hang a shelf in a test-driven development way. AND its also possible to hang a shelf in a behaviour-driven way. Which is better I have my opinion... but I'd much rather he https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QFYTQy47yA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT8QDNNhExg

Learn JavaScript With Me - The Browser 3 - DOM 2 Add HTML Element - Ch 9 HD Video - Tutorial

22:46
This JavaScript video demonstrates how to create an element, style the created element, assign an ID, insert element text (button or paragraph). We take a look at the insertBefore() and appendChild() DOM manipulation methods with a brief discussion of parent, child and sibling nodes. Which is how we get into the DOM (Document Object Model). The actual exercise inserts a print button on our HTML page while the rest of the discuss takes place in the console. Since no button can be inserted if JavaScript is disabled then we fall back to using the menu print option. This is the third exercise from chapter 9 in the book Modern JavaScript: Develop and Design by Larry Ullman. Code will be available on DaveCoast.com. My JavaScript sandbox is your JavaScript sandbox - js.davecoast.com. Thanks for watching - hopefully we both know a little more JavaScript now, Dave at DaveCoast.com.

TIMESTAMPS Lack of independence 0:36 Depression, a feeling of guilt 1:35 Inability to rest and relax completely 2:25 Harmful addictions and extreme sports 2:55 Personal life issues 3:29 Search for a parent-partner 4:01 Suppression of own talents and lack of initiative 4:19 Closeness, suppression of emotions 4:46 Extremely low self-esteem, desire to be like someone else 5:11 Lack of independence, irresponsibility 5:45 SUMMARY Parenting mistakes are quite common, but their price is too high. With our own unrestraint, overindulgence, inconsistency, or over-busyness, we make our children nervous and naughty. You are capable of avoiding this. You only have to cherish, understand, respect, and love your kids. Do any of these situations sound familiar to you? Then show this video to your parents. If you’re still a child, they’ll probably change their behavior for the better. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/
